　　Having the professional knowledge of wood science, a passion for music and violin making, Associate Professor, Way Long, collaborated with Taiwan’s famous luthier, Sheng Yan Huang, led students and established the handmade violin making workshop “Academy on Strings.”

　　From the selection of wood to the final steps of finishing, students at the workshop learn to complete their own hand-made violin step by step. Experiencing the whole process not only through their hands but also through sound, smell and personal feelings, making this traditional work of art one and only.
